Description of Workshop:

NOTE: This is a ONE-DAY CHAT, but the classroom stays open for 20 additional days so that you can take your time reviewing all the comments and downloading the free material included in this chat.

What happens in this AWW Open House Chat?

New York Times bestseller Dianna Love shares insights on the business of writing and professional editor Jodi Henley answers questions about craft.  If you’re just starting out or in the middle of a growing career, you’re invited to join us for a day focused on you and your writing.

  • Maybe you've been writing and you're not getting to the next level.

  • Or have you been writing for a while and seem to never finish a book?

  • Do you have questions that you're too timid to ask other writers and don't want to bother a bestselling author?

  • Then you're in the right place.  Jodi and Dianna say, "Bring it!"

Join two publishing professionals who will share information in a supportive environment!  Start off 2017 right and get your writing on track.

What is required to be prepared for this class?

A desire to write.  Really. That’s it.

There is no preparation required for this chat.  If you’re a new writer, just share with us what story has inspired you – a fiction idea or maybe a nonfiction topic, or even a personal experience you want to put down on paper.

If you’re an experienced author, tell us what gets in the way of being more productive or what is holding you back from reaching the next level in your career.

We love talking to writers no matter if this is your first attempt or if you’ve been trying to write for a long time and need help getting over a hump.

Will there be homework and feedback?

Additional Information:

Regarding Homework and Feedback:

This is a one-day chat, so there is NO homework. However there are FREE handouts and you WILL receive feedback to your questions.

Newbies: To learn how to write a story takes far more than a one-day chat, but fear not - we'll talk to you about what steps are next and how to develop your talent.  And if you can’t be here on Jan 7th, you can post questions when the classroom opens early on Jan 6th and the CLASSROOM STAYS OPEN for 20 extra days!!
